Description

What is Femodette

Femodette is a monophasic contraceptive that contains the hormones oestrogen and progesterone. These hormones are useful as they prevent the penetration of sperms into the womb, thus reducing the chances of getting pregnant. Use these pills correctly and you will have over 99% protection against pregnancy. However, these pills wont protect you against Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). As a result, you might still want to use a condom.

How Does Femodette Work?

Femodette ED helps prevent pregnancies in a number of ways.
  • The release of eggs from the ovaries is prevented.
  • Cervix mucus is thickened, which prevents the penetration of sperms into the womb
  • The pill prevents the womb lining from thickening and thus prevents an egg from penetrating.
