ACWY Vaccination Requirement

If you are considering travelling for Hajj and Umrah, you will need both vaccinations and a certificate (which is a mandatory visa requirement), to help to protect yourself against diseases such as Meningitis

At Zenith Pharmacy we understand how important Hajj and Umrah is to the Muslim community. Considered the ‘pillar of Islam’ it is encouraged that every Muslim will make this journey at least once in their lifetime, if they have the means too. Giving you the opportunity to reject evil, physically, mentally, verbally and spiritually, we appreciate the massive positive impact this journey can have on your personal well-being which is why we have dedicated a service to serving this community and ensuring they can travel safely.

One of the requirements of making this journey is that the person (people) undertaking the journey will have had all of their ACWY Vaccinations for Hajj and Umrah Birmingham, as well as the relevant certifications to evidence this. Without this, you would not be able to make the journey, as you will not be granted admission into Saudi Arabia.

You will need to have this injection at least ten days before you leave for your journey, unless you have already had one in the last three years, in which case you should be fine to travel again. In addition to the required meningococcal meningitis vaccination, we also highly recommend making sure your other vaccinations are up-to-date, this includes: tetanus, diphtheria, and hepatitis A. It is also recommended that you consider a typhoid vaccination.
