What is Tadalafil Mylan?
Tadalafil Mylan is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Tadalafil Mylan can also be used to improve exercise capacity in men and women with PAH.
How Does Tadalafil Mylan Work?
Tadalafil Mylan belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE5 inhibitors), that work by relaxing the muscles and increasing blood flow to certain areas of the body. Tadalafil Mylan works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme, which is responsible for regulating blood flow to the penis.
When this enzyme is inhibited, blood flow to the penis increases. This enables a man to achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated. Tadalafil Mylan is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, a condition in which the blood pressure in your lungs is too high, leading to symptoms such as shortness of breath, or fatigue.
Tadalafil Mylan works by relaxing the blood vessels in your lungs, which lowers your blood pressure. This helps to relieve your symptoms.
