Zelleta is an oral contraceptive medication categorised in a group referred to as mini pills. These types of pills rely completely on the active ingredient called progesterone, or at the very least a synthetic type of it known as desogestrel. The progesterone receptor's synthetic activators are commonly called progestogens. A contraceptive pill with progestogen-only is enough to prevent pregnancy effectively, even if you take them after up to 12 hours following sex.

Description

What is Zelleta?

Zelleta is a brand of oral contraceptive that comes in the form of a pill. It is made up of two hormones, estrogen and progestin, which work together to prevent pregnancy. Like all oral contraceptives, Zelleta works by preventing ovulation. It also thickens cervical mucus, which makes it more difficult for sperm to reach the uterus. For effective results, Zelleta should be taken once a day each day without missing a dose.

How Does Zelleta Work?

Oral contraceptives, also known as the pill, are a type of medication taken daily to prevent pregnancy. There are many different brands of oral contraceptives available, but they all work in more or less the same way. They contain hormones that stop ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovaries), which is the main way that fertilization occurs. Oral contraceptives may also thicken cervical mucus, making it difficult for sperm to reach an egg. Zelleta is a prescription oral contraceptive pill that is taken once a day to prevent pregnancy. It contains two hormones, Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel, which work together to stop the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation) and also changes the lining of the uterus so that a fertilized egg cannot implant.
